Cardiology is a branch of medicine deals with disorders of heart and also the parts of Circulatory System. This includes medical diagnosis and treatments like heart failure, heart related diseases.


The Cardiologist examines using Electrocardiogram (ECG), this helps to record the activity of the heart, determine abnormal rhythms and detect damages in heart muscles.

Types of heart diseases and treatments:-

Heart Failure:

Heart Failure occurs when the heart muscle doesn’t pump blood or pumps less blood to organs, Coronary artery diseases-the coronary arteries supplies the muscles with blood, high blood pressure. There are four stages of heart failure (A,B,C and D). The heart failure condition is also called as Congestive Heart Failure. Sometimes the heart failure gets worse, but managing the heart failure right way can help reduce symptoms.

 Heart Failure Symptoms:

  • Fatigue and weakness
  • Check Pain
  • Irregular Heartbeat
  • Swelling in legs
  • Persistent cough

Silent ischemia:

The condition of inadequate supply of oxygen-rich blood to the heart, severe blockage of coronary artery can lead to a heart attack.


  • Arm pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sweating
  • Fatigue
  • Fast Heartbeat


      Angina is a type of chest pain caused by reduced blood flow  to the heart, it is symptom of coronary artery disease, often described as squeezing, pressure, heaviness, tightness or pain in your chest.

Heart Attack:

The part of heart muscles can be damaged or blockage of blood to the heart causes heart attack.


  • Rapid Heartbeat
  • Nausea
  • Heavy Feelings, Pressure
  • Severe Weakness
  • Shortness of breathe
  • Profuse Sweating


Improper beating of heart, sometimes the heart’s electrical system does not function normally. This cause the heart to beat faster or slow. Symptoms like Fainting, Chest Pain, Rapid Palpitations. Treat this disease, or else arrhythmia’s can be life threatening. There are four major types of arrhythmia’s are:

  • Bradycardia
  • Irregular or extra heartbeats
  • Ventricular Tachycardia
  • Supra-ventricular Tachycardia

Peripheral Arterial Disease(PAD):

Like the heart, all tissues of body need oxygen ad other nutrients. Atherosclerosis can also affect arteries that supply oxygen-rich blood to other areas of the body.


  • Brown spots on skin
  • Coldness
  • Ulcers
  • Slow healing of wounds
  • Swelling
